Questions
What does a mod actually do?
A modded Switch can run custom firmware, which opens up homebrew apps, custom themes, save backups, and deeper system customization. Some original consoles can be set up with software only. Other models need a small chip installed inside.
Will I get banned by Nintendo?
There is always a risk if a modded console goes online. I explain how to reduce it, but I can’t guarantee you won’t be banned, and I can’t reverse a ban.
Will it void my warranty?
It can. Check whether your console is still under warranty before booking.
Is there a risk to my console?
Chip installs involve soldering to very small parts, so there is a small risk of damage. You sign an agreement that explains what I do if my workmanship causes it.
Do you provide games?
No. I don’t supply, install, or endorse pirated software.
Will I lose my saves?
I back up your console before starting. Please also copy anything important off your SD card yourself.
